“No-one can love nature as much as I do,” said Beethoven, who was born on or about 16th December 2020. For his 250th anniversary year, I have two projects currently on the drawing board. One is a concert of birdsong-inspired music (15th May, details to follow). Also in the spring I shall visit Vienna to make a podcast as I re-live one of his regular walks in the countryside, in search of three birds that inspired one of his most famous passages of music.
